Photography and Storytelling Fellowship
Through a Female Lens
iRole, in collaboration with Cameras For Girls, proudly presents the “Through a Female Lens”—a transformative program empowering women to turn their creativity into career opportunities.
This fellowship stands out because it leads to job creation, offering participants the skills to master photography, craft impactful stories, and build professional skills that open doors to employment.
Cameras For Girls is a non-profit organization empowering marginalized women in Africa with photography, storytelling, and business skills.
Through meaningful training, Cameras For Girls equips participants to break gender barriers in journalism and photojournalism, fostering financial independence and gender equality. By creating meaningful employment opportunities, they help women escape poverty and seed lasting societal change.
Now, in collaboration with iRole, the fellowship is coming to Jordan. Together, we aim to empower Jordanian women, amplifying their voices and providing them with skills that lead to meaningful career opportunities.
Meet the Visionary Behind the Fellowship
Amina Mohamed, a passionate photographer with 15 years of experience in cinema and television, founded Triple F Photo Tours in 2018 and later transformed it into the non-profit Cameras For Girls in 2021.
Driven by a mission to empower marginalized women in Africa, Amina provides cameras and a four-phase training program to help participants secure paid jobs and achieve financial independence.
The Photography and Storytelling Fellowship offers a comprehensive learning experience to help you develop your skills and unlock career opportunities.
Phase 1: Online Training
This phase is open to any young woman who owns a camera or smartphone. Participants will gain valuable skills in photography, ethical storytelling, and business through our online platform.
Training Structure:

Completing Phase 1 will open the door to Phase 2, an exclusive in-person workshop in Jordan.
